| Hi Greg...
You may have noticed from some of the photographs on my website that tucked in among the odd assortment of pipes, bags and bottles hanging from my person is a battered and bruised Ruger Redhawk. Well, the revolver you're seeing just happens to be riding in a Kydex belt holster from Blade-Tech, a company that specializes in Kydex holsters and knife sheaths! Here's a link that will take you directly to the type of holster I've been using for my Redhawk. I believe my friend Bill has been using the same model for his Smith & Wesson revolver as well: Blade-Tech belt holster When I ordered the holster, knowing it was probably going to see some pretty rough use in the mountains, I requested they use some heavier Kydex. Of course the folks at Blade-Tech were more than happy to accommodate me and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. I'll be honest with you here, I don't own Kydex holsters from anyone other than Blade-Tech mainly because I've been so pleased with their products and service that I haven't felt compelled to shop anywhere else. I'm that way with a lot of things when it comes to outdoor gear in that whenever I find something that works, the search, for the most part, ends there. Good luck with finding the right holster. If you should ever need plans for a pulley-system to lift that Redhawk out of its holster, I have a few ideas I've been working on! Eric |
